Copenhagen Fashion Summit Day #1

Rudolph Care Official Beauty Partner CPH Fashion Summit 2018

Today was the beginning of Copenhagen Fashion Summit, which is the world’s leading event for sustainable fashion. The atmosphere is quite special, and you can really feel how all participants at this event join forces around a common task – sustainability. The hosts; model, actor and entrepreneur, Amber Valletta, and Editor-At-Large for The Business of Fashion, Tim Blanks - opened the summit this morning and were powerfully followed by the European Commissioner for Competition, Margrethe Vestager. Margrethe Vestager opened Copenhagen Fashion Summit with very strong, initial statements and thereby framed Copenhagen Fashion Summit as a summit of change and solutions.

Backstage area in nuances of rose

Rudolph Care is very present in the backstage area, where the room has been decorated with our familiar shades of rose. Makeup artist, Anne Staunsager, and her talented team of makeup artists are (wo)manning three makeup stations with plenty of light, delights and our sustainable luxury skincare products. The atmosphere is laid back and warm, and there is a concentrated focus on detail and a natural glow. Today the makeup artists have worked with a lot of air traveling, international speakers, whose skin called for plenty of moist – here they have used our light, moisturizing and refreshing Mist Delight and our Facial Oil, which both gives glow and caring moist. For the travelers, who due to time difference and plenty of hours of commuting had a minor deficit on sleep, our Eye Cream was the savior of the day.

A comment from Andrea

How was your first day of Copenhagen Fashion Summit?
"It has been great, and I think that it has been wonderful to see that Eva Kruse has been able to summon so many important, talented and passionate people, who wish to change the world. Today Rudolph Care and I were confirmed that we, through our sustainability values, are doing the right thing. I was also reminded about the importance of circular economy, which is the future for sustainability. I was reminded that recyclability and reuse is an incredibly important task, which Rudolph Care can still improve on. A certification like the Ecolabeled by the Swan protects both us and the environment, and with that we have accomplished a lot, but we can still become much better at cleaning out through even more recyclable and reusable packaging."

The air was thick with key words

Today we’ve observed many of the fashion industry’s big decision makers unfold on the stage of the Copenhagen Concert Hall. Through the day we have noted many striking and manifesting quotes, and the air has been thick with key words, which lie very close to our Rudolph Care-heart. Sustainability, awareness, transparency, responsibility and compassion are some of the many key words from our first day at Copenhagen Fashion Summit, and they have really put our minds to work. The beauty industry lacks initiative and awareness that could take our industry in the same direction as the Copenhagen Fashion Summit takes the fashion industry, and we dream about attending an event capable of doing that.

CPH Fashion Summit 2018 Speakers

Today we were reminded that sustainability is no longer a lonesome endeavor, but a collective endeavor that only grows bigger and bigger. Tomorrow we return to Copenhagen Fashion Summit for the second and last day, and we are so excited. Stay tuned!
