“Andrea never wears a lot of makeup or heavy makeup, so my task is actually just to showcase her features and make her beauty the star of the show. It’s a fulfilling job, because Andrea is stunning and her skin is exceptionally beautiful and well cared-for.
Usually we use Acai Facial Oil or Facial Moisturizer as a base. Some people believe that using oil as a makeup base is a no-go, but if you give it 5-10 minutes to absorb and set before you start applying makeup, it makes an excellent primer that also adds glow to the skin.
I’ve used Youngblood’s mineral powder on Andrea for many years now, and it’s a natural product without unnecessary additives. It makes the skin look seamless and it lasts for many, many hours without the skin ever looking ‘made up’. The next step is to enhance Andrea’s cheekbones, we like the cremeblend in the colour Ladyblush from MAC which gives a healthy, fresh glow.
I use colour on Andrea’s eyebrows to achieve a polished, defined effect, and once in a while we’ll put a little light-brown eyeshadow on her lids. And that’s really about all. Every now and then we go for a vivid red lipstick, like the matte Ruby Woo from MAC, but not very often.”
