Name: Maise Njor
Star sign: Gemini
Favourite colour: Lavender blue
Spirit animal: Well, I’m not that New Age-y. But I do talk with my dog.
Favourite season: Summer … because … It makes you happy.
When I was a child, I wanted to be a … biologist or pilot and today I am a … journalist and writer.
If I had to describe myself in three words, they would be … kind but tough. And optimist.
I am good at … talking with my friends for hours.
I’m happiest when … people try hard to make me laugh.
My deepest wish is … like everyone else: That my children do well in life.
The easiest way to make me happy is … humour is a very good declaration of love.
It makes me angry when … big people threaten smaller ones.
The last time I cried was … when I was at a large Danish political convention and heard politicians from across the spectrum singing together.
When I get angry, I … get sad afterwards. Because it’s not a nice feeling to have.
My girlfriends mean … so much, so much! They are my journal, confessional, psychologist and teddy bear all in one.
Things I do only with my girlfriends … dance naked in a summer house.
The meal I remember most is … when I was in Trastevere with my now ex-husband, and we spent an entire afternoon eating and talking.
My favourite treat is … marshmallow Brazil puffs.
In summer I like to drink … a cold draught beer.
The song that always gets me onto the dancefloor … “Moves like Jagger” by Maroon 5.
The best book I’ve ever read is … I don’t have a favourite book, but I love everything by Jens Blendstrup and Helle Helle, because they have an eye for life’s small absurdities.
The thing I always take with me on holiday … notebooks.
My absolute favourite city is … London or Rome.
Sometimes I tell white lies when … I give reasons why I’m late. It’s just so embarrassing that I’m this clown who can’t get out the door in time.
If I won a million, I would … buy a cabin and move in with my friend and our kids. If I won ten million, I would found a small, cosy children’s home for little people who need loving care.
If my house was on fire, I would save these three things … my photo albums, things hung on the walls, and my three favourite jackets. I’m assuming I am home alone when it happens so I don’t have to save my kids and dog.
I spend a lot of money (maybe too much) on … books I haven’t read and shoes that I can’t walk in. So they’re really “pet shoes” that you take out and look at every now and then.
I would like to become better at … planning my weeks so I don’t feel like time is controlling my life.
When I get old, I want to … be the kind of person my grandchildren love to visit. And have a little house somewhere warm, so I can escape from February and March.
My proudest achievement is … That my three daughters are so sweet and funny.
