Travelling somewhere?

Prepare your skin

Flying can be hard on your skin, leaving it dry, irritated and puffy. So prepare your skin for air travel a few hours before you board the plane. Cleanse your face and neck with a gentle product like Acai Cleansing Milk which both purifies and rebalances your skin – leaving it clean and wonderfully moisturized.

Make sure to give your skin plenty of moisture before the trip – and follow up with a few drops of pure facial oil to enrich your skin with deep moisture and act as a lightweight, protective film – without adding grease. For optimal hydration, we recommend finishing with your favourite moisturizer.

Moisture inside and out

One of the most important travel tips is to hydrate the body from the inside, so drink lots of water. The dry air on the plane drains fluid from your body, and this shows on the skin just a few hours later. Drink a large glass of water before you board the plane – and continue with one glass per hour – especially if you also have a coffee, which has a diuretic effect.

You can also assist the skin with a moisturizing facial mist. Mist Delight – Refreshing and Hydrating Facial Toner is ideal for your handbag because the mist immediately refreshes your skin with loads of moisture. That’s because it’s rich in honey extract, which naturally attracts and retains moisture, and calendula extract to purify and counteract redness and irritation, so your skin will be left fresh, moisturized and nourished.

Destress your skin in-flight

Although your facial mist will give your skin an immediate burst of energy, you also need a richer cream that can help to destress the skin in the dry in-flight environment. Our popular moisturizer Acai Anti-stress Facial Cream also comes in travel size, so you can protect your skin with nourishing, calming moisture throughout the flight. Anti-stress Facial Cream is extremely rich in organic oils and shea butter, which bring the skin’s moisture level into balance – as well as calming ingredients such as chamomile, aloe vera and witch hazel to reduce skin irritation. During the flight, lightly massage the moisturizer into your skin using circular movements. The massage will also help counteract puffiness. For lips, dab them with the nourishing moisturizer and top up with an oil-rich balm to prevent dry, chapped lips.

Remember your hands

Keep your hands from drying out before you arrive at your destination. Repeat applications of hand cream – one that is deeply nourishing and keeps your hands soft and pretty. Acai Hand Cream is a concentrated, rich hand cream that absorbs quickly into your skin – leaving hands drenched with moisture with no greasy residue. The hand cream rebuilds the skin’s moisture barrier, banishes rough and dry patches and shields your hands with antioxidant protection during travel. For best results, apply hand cream once an hour (perhaps when you sip your water?) and be extra generous around your cuticles and nails to keep them from drying out too.

We hope you can use our little tips and that your flight just got a little lovelier. Have a great trip!
